Hollywood stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart stepped into unfamiliar territory as first-time Golden Globe nominees during a special luncheon held at The Melbourne Beverly Hills.

The event gathered actors experiencing their first nomination ahead of the awards ceremony set for January 11.

Johnson earned a nod for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his role in The Smashing Machine, a film that pushed him into a more dramatic space.

He described the recognition as a career defining moment and a reminder to take creative risks beyond comfort zones.

Hart was nominated for Stand-up Comedy on Television, a category close to his heart.

The luncheon also celebrated rising star Chase Infiniti, nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for One Battle After Another.

She described learning about her nomination in the early morning hours, calling the moment surreal and joyful.
