Omega 256 Shuts Down Rumors About Funding “See You Tonight” Solo

Ugandan songbirds Omega 256 and Cindy Sanyu are dominating the airwaves with their hit collaboration “See You Tonight.”

The track has quickly captured attention, and during a recent appearance on Flexx, Omega 256 gave fans an inside look at how the collaboration came together.

When asked why she picked Cindy over other female singers in Uganda, Omega 256 revealed it had always been a dream to work with the ‘King Herself.’

Cindy is one of those artistes that I have wanted to work with for a long time, and we found each other when we liked each other and believed in each other, so it just happened. We talked about it as friends, and kept on sharing songs with each other, while giving each other time due to our unpredictable busy schedules. So when we got time, we hit the studio and did the song.

Talking about her time in the studio, Omega 256 described the experience as smooth and effortless.

It was easy. She [Cindy] is flexible.

Many had speculated that Omega 256 fully financed the project, but the singer set the record straight.

It is our song. What are you talking about? Everyone funded. I believe I did not make it hard for her and she also did not make it hard for me. She did not give me a hard time.

With their combined talent and undeniable chemistry, “See You Tonight” proves that collaborations between Uganda’s top artistes can deliver hits fans simply cannot get enough of.
