Willar Stary Claims Daddy Andre Double Sold ‘Ngenderera’
The Ugandan music industry is in turmoil as rising star Willar Stary speaks out about betrayal and lost opportunities.
His hit track “Ngenderera,” featuring Kataleya & Kandle, was meant to launch his career, but he claims it turned into a nightmare.
Willar revealed that he bought the song from top producer Daddy Andre for two million shillings.
Hoping to feature popular singer Winnie Nwagi, he paid an additional 3.5 million, but the collaboration never materialized.
He alleges that the producer kept the 5.5 million and offered nothing but excuses.
Despite the setback, “Ngenderera” became a massive hit, surpassing one million views on YouTube, until it suddenly disappeared.
Willar points to a copyright strike from Twin Jojo, a Canadian-based artiste, who he claims also paid Daddy Andre for the same track, confirming that the song had been double sold.
He explained that repeated warnings to Daddy Andre went ignored, leaving him with lost money, stolen work, and a vanished career milestone.
Determined to reclaim his song and and hold those responsible accountable, Willar insists that he is now planning to take legal action.

My name is Willar Stary, and I am here to tell you about the song that almost ruined me. You know it. It was the hit of the year: “Ngenderera,” featuring Kataleya and Kandle.

For a moment, it felt like my dream was coming true. I bought a song from Daddy Andre 2 million but in the due process I thought of doing a collaboration in the same song and Daddy Andre told me he can get me Winnie Nwagi and he asked me another amount of money that is 3.5 million to get me Winnie Nwagi which I accepted. He took the money. Five and a half million in total. But Winnie Nwagi never came. He just pocketed the cash and gave me some flimsy excuse about her schedule. He betrayed my trust, but that was not the worst of it.

The song was a monster hit, breaking 1 million views. Then, just like that, it disappeared from YouTube. Poof. The cause? A copyright strike. From a woman named Twin Jojo. A fellow artist, living all the way in Canada.

I told Daddy Andre about the strike of my song on YouTube all he said was that he was going to talk to the lady to stay back but He never called her. He never did anything. He just lied, and lied, and lied. I lost all my money, all my hard work, and the song that was supposed to be my breakthrough was gone. And the saddest part? Twin Jojo paid him too. He double sold the same track.

But I am not giving up. I have invested so much, my money, my soul, into this song. I will not let his greed destroy my career. I am taking this to court. The truth will come out, and justice will be served. I will fight for what is mine.
