“Be Content, But Not Complacent,” Julius Sese on Handling Pressure
Ugandan recording and visual artiste Julius Sese has shared thoughtful advice about handling pressure and avoiding the trap of comparing yourself to others.
While appearing on NBS Plus LiT, Julius spoke about how self-imposed pressure can leave someone mentally overwhelmed and stuck.
He added that constantly measuring your progress against someone else’s achievements only clouds your thinking and slows you down.
Once you put pressure on yourself, I feel like you end up not doing anything because you are lost in thought, the worry, the blame, like, ‘Oh, I should be here. So and so is in the States and I am here. Oh, they bought a car.’
Instead of chasing someone else’s timeline, Julius encouraged people to embrace their own pace and stay grounded.
You need to relax and find your rhythm. Take it easy, but do not take it easy. Find the Balance. Be content, but not complacent.
For the “Dear Bestie” singer, success is not about racing others, but about balancing ambition with patience.
It’s important to not put pressure on yourself, find your rhythm and follow your path. #NBSPlus #BeYou #NBSPlusLiT pic.twitter.com/zNYvjVDsJO
