2Baba Declares Burna Boy the Biggest Afrobeat Star Worldwide
Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding Nigeria’s biggest music stars.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, the singer named Burna Boy as the leading Afrobeat artiste on the global stage right now.
The conversation comes amid renewed discussion around the so called Big 3 in Nigerian music, a term commonly used to describe Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido as the country’s most dominant international exports.
According to 2Baba, while all three artistes are excelling and delivering strong music, Burna Boy currently stands out in terms of global influence and reach.
He acknowledged having favorite songs from each of them, but noted that Burna Boy’s impact beyond Nigeria places him ahead at this moment.
