2Baba Detained in UK After Taxi Dispute Leads to Police Call

Afrobeat icon 2Baba faced unexpected trouble in the United Kingdom after police held him at Gatwick Airport during what officials described as a domestic matter.

The incident caught many fans off guard and quickly turned into a major online talking point.

People at the airport say the couple’s problems began when a wave of admirers crowded around 2Baba for selfies.

The moment created tension between him and his wife Natasha Osawaru, and the disagreement followed them into a taxi outside the terminal.

The driver reported raised voices and broken items, which pushed him to contact the police for help.

Officers arrived and took 2Baba in for safety reasons while they sorted out the situation. Because of this delay, he missed his planned performance in Manchester.

Promoters tried to calm the public by saying he had a medical issue, but the story did not quiet down.

Later, 2Baba and Natasha appeared on Instagram Live and tried to brush aside the rumors.

They laughed through the session and acted as if nothing serious had happened.

Everything changed again on December 1 when blogger Tosin Silverdam released CCTV footage that appeared to show 2Baba in handcuffs during the airport stop.

The clip spread through social media and reopened the entire conversation.

Police say no charges were filed, and 2Baba’s team insists the problem was blown out of proportion.

Even so, many followers are still wondering what truly happened inside that taxi and why the situation escalated so quickly.
