A Pass Skips Bobi Wine’s Rallies, Says He Supports Online

Campaign season is in full swing in Uganda, and musicians are finding themselves in the spotlight for more than just their music.

Some are hitting the rallies for cash, while others are lending their support to politician friends.

One notable absence, however, is singer A Pass, who has stayed away from all public gatherings despite his close friendship with National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine.

His no-show has sparked whispers and criticism about where his loyalties truly lie.

Addressing the speculation, A Pass insisted that showing support does not require physical attendance.

He told Daily Soup that while others are free to attend rallies, he prefers to show his support online.

He [Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu] is my friend. I can campaign for him online. There is no need for me to attend the rallies. Whoever wants to go should go, but me, I do not go there.

For the “Wuuyo” star, digital support is enough, showing that loyalty does not always mean performing at rallies but also standing by your friend from afar.
