Aaronx Names Rema Namakula as His Dream Collab, Credits Her and Dr. Hamza for Early Support
Aaronx has named Rema Namakula as the Ugandan artiste he would most love to collaborate with, and his reasons go far beyond musical admiration.
In a recent interview with YouTuber Shielah Price, the rising singer explained that Rema and her family played a major role in the early days of his music journey.
I would love to work with Rema Namakula. She sings so beautifully. And actually, her family really nurtured me.
Aaronx revealed that one of his first big breaks happened at one of Rema’s concerts.
It was at Rema Namakula’s show at Sheraton that I got my first official booking and performance. That is when I had the song Njalwala. She was the first female artiste who recognized my efforts and invited me to perform.
He also credited Rema’s husband, Doctor Hamza Sebunya, for supporting him at the time.
Dr. Sebunya was always there for me. Whenever he met me, he would give me money.
When asked about their relationship today, Aaronx admitted that things have changed.
Though lately, he no longer picks up my calls.
Even so, his tone remained respectful toward the couple who helped him find his footing in the industry.
A collaboration with Rema might still be a dream, but for Aaronx, it is one rooted in real history.
