Aaronx Opens Up About the Challenges of Music Collaborations
Ugandan singer Aaronx, born Aaron Mukwaya, has quietly built his name through major collaborations in the industry.
Over the years, he has worked with Sheebah Karungi, Winnie Nwagi, Chosen Becky and Fik Fameica, moves that have helped shape his journey as an artiste.
But behind the studio sessions and releases, the “Njalwala” hitmaker says the reality of collaborations is not always as glamorous as fans assume.
While on Sanyuka TV, he revealed that once a song drops, promotion does not always move as a team effort.
Some people leave you to promote the song on your own. Some may not want to create content, yet that is the direction things are taking today. Challenges will always be there, but that is not what we focus on.

Still, Aaronx says he looks at the bigger picture.
He recalled how Sheebah once gave him a boost early in his career through the “Njalwala” remix, a moment he says shaped his mindset.
When I was starting out, Sheebah Karungi gave me the [Njalwala] remix opportunity. I could not start complaining that she left me alone with the song. You just have to work hard and promote your song because that song is yours.
To him, the opportunity itself carries weight, even when the workload is uneven.
Someone has given you a chance to collaborate with them, especially when they are a bigger artiste than you. Do not complain that they are not promoting the song. Just push your song.
