Aaronx Reflects on How 2025 Has Established Him as a Top Ugandan Artiste
Ugandan singer Aaronx has described 2025 as a defining year in his career, marked by success, reflection, and valuable lessons learned.
During a sit-down with Flexx, the “Njalwala” hitmaker shared insights into his musical journey and the milestones that have made the year memorable.
He referred to his hit song “Permission” as his “new baby,” highlighting the deep personal connection he feels to his work.
The track, along with others such as his collaboration with Vinka, has helped solidify his position as a rising star in Uganda’s music scene.
For Aaronx, the achievements of 2025 are proof of his hard work and the recognition he has earned in just two years.
I count 2025 as a blessed year God gave me to become a successful man, and I am hopeful for what 2026 holds. I have become an established artiste in just two years. Even when people criticize me, it only proves that I am somebody. If I were a nobody, no one would even bother to talk about me.
Despite his successes, Aaronx has not been immune to controversy.
He acknowledged clashes with fellow musicians, including Gloria Bugie, as well as criticism from fans and music reviewers.
He explained that some of the backlash stems from being misunderstood and from how he expresses himself.
I think I am misunderstood. Sometimes when I went back home and reflected on how I was putting my points across, I realized they were not the best ways. I was too bare-knuckle.
Looking ahead to 2026, Aaronx remains optimistic.
He hopes to build on his achievements and continue establishing himself as one of Uganda’s most influential and talked about artistes.
