Abitex blames Police for Alien Skin’s Unlawful Behavior
Abbey Musinguzi, alias Abitex, has spoken out about the violence that occurred during the Enkuuka in Lubiri, Mengo, on December 31, 2024, and at the Empele Festival in Buloba on January 1, 2025.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV, the events promoter strongly condemned the actions and held both the police and the individuals involved responsible.
Abitex, who was responsible for ensuring the show went on as planned, clarified that CBS, the owners of Enkuuka, were the chief organizers.
The organizing committee made the decision to have Alien Skin perform at Lubiri, and Abitex had no power to refuse him.
Despite his reservations, he warned the committee that allowing Alien Skin to perform would lead to regret.
“I told them they would see for themselves and regret that decision, and indeed, they saw it unfold,” Abitex shared.
“Personally, I understood who Alien Skin is and chose not to have anything to do with him. When you talk to him, he seems like a reasonable person, but then he does not say what he truly means,” he added.
While Abitex left the show believing everything had gone smoothly, he later came across video recordings showing Alien Skin in the audience with his gang beating up people. This was something Abitex strongly condemned.
As a result, the Apex Body, responsible for all promoters in the country, decided to stop promoting Alien Skin or contracting him for future events.
Abitex himself had already ceased contracting Alien Skin due to his ill-mannered behavior.
“We have banned him from performing until he changes his ways and stops associating with his unruly gang that violates our fans,” Abitex confirmed.
Abitex then turned his attention to the police, stating that they are responsible for Alien Skin’s unbecoming behavior.
He accused the police of covering up Alien Skin’s actions for a long time, stating that if the police truly wanted to put an end to his unruliness, they could have done so.
“The police had the authority to prevent Alien Skin from entering the venue with his unruly gang, but they failed to act and allowed them to enter,” Abitex said.
“The chaos that occurred in Lubiri, Mengo, and in Buloba is something I blame on the police and other security agencies for not doing enough,” he added.
Abitex made it clear that Alien Skin’s actions are not new. He pointed out that similar behavior had been exhibited by other prominent artistes in the past.
According to Abitex, Alien Skin is simply repeating what others had done and should not be seen as a major threat.
“Whatever Alien Skin is doing has been done before by Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, and Chameleone, so Alien Skin is just repeating what others have done,” Abitex stated.
“Do not be deceived into thinking that Alien Skin has anything major to offer that would put the entire country on edge. It is not possible unless the police choose to allow it.”
Turning to Pallaso’s alleged actions on January 2, 2025, Abitex condemned the vandalism of Alien Skin’s home.
However, he expressed some understanding of Pallaso’s frustration, as he believed the police were not taking the necessary action against Alien Skin.
“Two wrongs do not make a right,” Abitex said.
“Instead of vandalizing Alien Skin’s home, Pallaso should have reported to the police. But I can somewhat understand Pallaso’s actions, even though they were not right, because the police favor Alien Skin. That is why I believe Pallaso thought reporting to the police would be pointless and decided to take matters into his own hands,” he added.
According to police reports, at around 3 am on January 2, Pallaso and his group attacked Alien Skin’s residence, but they were repelled by police from Makindye Police Station. A second attack was launched at 9 am the same day, resulting in significant damage to property.
