Abraham Luzzi Reveals Election Loss Left Him Deeply Hurt

Ugandan businessman and politician Abraham Luzzi, also known as “Bba wa Sarah is Tall,” has revealed how painful the 2026 election results were for him.

The independent candidate contested for the Kampala Central Member of Parliament seat in the January 15, 2026 general elections.

In the end, Minsa Kabanda of the NRM won the seat, while NUP’s David Lewis Rubongoya finished second, and Luzzi came third.

Reflecting on the outcome, the businessman admitted the ballot result left him deeply hurt.

He also suggested it did little to improve the situation for ordinary citizens.

Yes, it is true. The ballot hurt me. The election results caused me pain. But my fellow Ugandans, let us be honest with ourselves. You also gained nothing from it.

The election outcome took such a toll on him that he even closed his campaign office on Kimathi Avenue in Kampala.

The pain of that ballot affected my life so much that I even closed my office. I left the premises because of what happened during the election.

Despite the disappointment, Luzzi says the experience has forced him to reflect deeply on Uganda’s political system and the changes he believes are necessary.

Sometimes I sit alone in my room thinking about what needs to change in our system. I reflect on how things could be better for everyone in this country.

He insists that although the election result was painful, it has strengthened his resolve to push for reforms.

Pain can break a person, but it can also push someone to fight for reforms and a better future. That is exactly what I am thinking about now. Reforms that can bring fairness and hope to Uganda.
