Abtex Compares Walukagga to Ssegona in Fierce Remarks

Abbey Musinguzi, popularly known as Abtex, has spoken about the release of National Unity Platform (NUP) MP cards ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Speaking to Sanyuka Uncut, the events promoter said Ugandan politics today is more about chasing positions than serving the people.

He took aim at NUP’s decision to pick singer-turned-politician Mathias Walukagga over veteran legislator Medard Lubega Ssegona for the Busiro East MP seat.

You cannot compared Mathias Walukagga to Hon. Ssegona, who is an experienced lawyer and can argue his points in Parliament. I know Walukaga very well as an artiste; he cannot even speak English for five minutes.

In closing, Abtex fired a warning to NUP, saying they must think twice before handing out MP cards or risk losing the elections altogether.
