Abtex Speaks Out: “Ugandan Promoters Are Bewitchers”
Abtex Promotions proprietor Abbey Musinguzi, alias Abtex, has openly expressed his disappointment with fellow event promoters.
Appearing on Sanyuka TV’s Uncut, he shared that he has never received any meaningful support from his peers in the industry, particularly those in Uganda.
In his view, promoters are not people who genuinely wish each other well.
Ugandan promoters, we are not good people and we do not wish well for one another.
Abtex went on to draw a comparison between promoters and other groups, such as taxi drivers, who he believes work together for their mutual benefit.
He argued that, unlike them, promoters only come together when money is involved.
Promoters only come together when there is money to share, but in times of struggle or loss, they never stand united. Instead, they backbite, abuse, and disrespect each other.
According to Abtex, jealousy and bad intentions dominate the industry.
He concluded that promoters are “bewitchers” who dislike and work against one another.
