Adam Kasirye Says Biswanka Is His Own Biggest Obstacle

Ugandan entertainment analyst Adam Kasirye has offered an assessment of singer Biswanka, saying the artiste is his own biggest obstacle.

Speaking on Sanyuka TV’s Vvaawompitewo, Kasirye said Biswanka has the qualities many artistes pray for: a strong voice and good looks.

Yet, in his view, those strengths continue to be overshadowed by controversy.

Biswanka really pains me. Why? He is a talented singer, but he has certain ways that hold him back. He sings very well. He looks good, so he is marketable and sellable, but his character has held him back to the point that today he is talked about more for scandals than for his music.

Kasirye suggested that in the entertainment industry, perception can quickly redefine a career.

When headlines focus more on personal drama than artistry, the music begins to take a back seat.

He went further, stressing that success is rarely a solo journey.

Such things really hinder people from working with you. In this world, however talented or gifted you might be, success comes through people. If you fail to find a way to deal with the right people, you end up gaining nothing. Blessings do not come on donkeys; they come through people.

Kasirye’s comments come in the wake of Biswanka’s recent controversies, including his on-air outburst on BBS TV after criticism from Batt Badru and the child neglect scandal he later addressed on Sanyuka TV.
