Afande Lanek Calls Out Pastor Bugembe Over Lack of Support for His Upcoming Event

Denis Lanek, also known as Afande Lanek and the president of Uganda’s gospel artistes, has voiced his frustration with Pastor Wilson Bugembe and fellow singer Levixone.

Lanek’s main frustration lies in Pastor Bugembe’s lack of support for his upcoming event, despite Bugembe being a prominent figure in the gospel music community.

He pointed out in a media interview that while Bugembe regularly invites celebrities to his services at Worship House, he has not extended the same invitation to him, even with his show just around the corner.

Recently, Bugembe invited content creator Model Music, singer Uncle Chumi, and events promoter Abitex for prayers at the Worship House in Nansana.

Lanek questioned why he, too, has not been invited, especially since he believes Bugembe could help promote his event to the congregation.

In an appeal to Bugembe, the “Batuwayiriza” singer asked to be invited to one of his services to help promote the event.

He also expressed disappointment over the lack of public support for his event from gospel artistes, despite his efforts to assist many of them during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Afande Lanek feels that the lack of support from his peers is unjust, especially considering his past contributions to the gospel music community.
