Nalongo Maggie Kaweesi, Former Partner of AK47 and Ex-Wife of Rabadaba, Dies
The entertainment fraternity is mourning the loss of Nalongo Maggie Kaweesi, the former partner of the late singer AK47 and ex-wife of singer Rabadaba, who died on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Maggie passed away at Mengo Hospital in Kampala after she was transferred from Nsambya Hospital, where she had initially been admitted.
Reports indicate she had been receiving treatment for complications related to malaria, although the family is yet to officially confirm the cause of death.
She was best known through her relationship with AK47, born Emmanuel Mayanja, with whom she had twins, Connie and Canaan.
Following the singer’s death in 2015, Maggie continued raising the children while remaining closely associated with his legacy.
Her passing leaves the twins without both parents, more than a decade after they lost their father.
News of Maggie’s death spread quickly across social media, prompting an outpouring of condolences from fans, friends and members of Uganda’s entertainment industry.
Members of the Mayanja family were reportedly among those who gathered at Mengo Hospital following news of her passing.
The family is expected to announce burial and funeral arrangements in the coming days.
