Album Era Loading for Spice Diana

Spice Diana has confirmed that fans should not expect a concert from her this year.

Speaking during a sit-down on Horizon Vibe, the Ugandan singer explained that after staging a major show recently, it feels too soon to return to the concert stage.

On January 10, 2025, she marked a big career milestone with her “10 Years of Spice Diana” celebration, a concert series that highlighted a decade since her 2014 debut.

She said the timing and circumstances also played a role in the decision.

I am not organizing a concert this year. If I were to, it would have been in January, but you know we had elections and there was so much going on. We normally do January shows, and we had a very big celebration, 10 Years of Spice. It was very huge to have another one so soon. We need to absorb the love and the experience we had so that we can organize something even bigger in the future. I am planning something bigger.

Even without a concert, Spice Diana says she is working on something major behind the scenes.

She revealed that her focus is now shifting toward releasing her first music album.

What I am planning is in line with my very first album because I had sidelined the idea of albums. I did not want to release one when Ugandans were not really consuming albums, and I did not want to do it just because everybody else was doing it.

She added that the album will follow a careful plan, similar to the approach she used for her 2022 “Star Gal” EP.

I want to do it when I am ready, when I have proper distribution, just like I did with my EP. On it, I got my biggest song, Siri Regular. It has over 20 million views. The EP also has very many streams. So there was a reason to do it, and it made an impact. My album also has to make an impact, so I need to be ready for it.

No concert this year, but something even bigger is cooking in the Spice camp.
