Alien Skin to Ugandan Artistes: “Politics Is Over, Back to Music”

Ugandan singer Alien Skin has sent a strong message to fellow musicians now that the 2026 general election season is over.

During the campaigns, many artistes were involved in politics in one way or another.

Some performed at rallies, others gave political commentary, while a few even tried their luck in elective office.

But according to Alien Skin, the political noise is done and the excuses should end.

In a blunt post shared on X, the singer urged Ugandan musicians to return to what truly matters: making music.

He suggested that some artistes spent the season chasing politics and sympathy instead of putting in real work.

According to him, politics is off the table for a while, and artistes must now prove themselves through music.

Now that elections and rallies are over, Ugandan musicians, it is time to face reality. While some of you were chasing politics and sympathy, it is high time music speaks. There are no excuses now. If you choose politics, that is your choice, but the term is set and there is a long break from politics ahead. Let the music talk.
