American Rapper DDG Calls Western Media “Fake” About Nigeria

American rapper DDG has challenged Western media narratives about Nigeria, calling reports of danger in the country “fake.”

The hip-hop star, currently vacationing in Lagos, said Nigeria is “nowhere near” as dangerous as the United States and encouraged foreigners to experience the country for themselves.

DDG noted that while insecurity exists, gun violence and gangsterism are far less common in Nigeria than in America.

He invited anyone thinking of visiting to “pull up” and see the reality firsthand.

The rapper also shared his experience with Nigerian cuisine.

Despite warnings that the food was unhealthy and advice to boil water before drinking, he found the meals surprisingly healthy, singling out jollof rice as a favorite.
