An African Man Should Not Kneel to Propose, Says Frank Gashumba

Frank Gashumba has criticized men who kneel during marriage proposals, describing the gesture as demeaning and foreign to African culture.

The Ugandan businessman made the remarks while appearing on Ensi y’Omukwano on Sanyuka TV.

According to him, kneeling while proposing does not reflect traditional African values.

I am a true African man, I cannot kneel down. Kneeling while proposing is for whites.

He argued that love in African culture was traditionally private rather than expressed through public gestures meant to impress others.

Gashumba also revealed that he keeps his marriage to Patience Mutoni Malaika off social media, saying he prefers to maintain privacy in his relationship.
