Aroma Reflects on Her Troubled Collaboration with Chosen Becky
Aroma has opened up about her collaboration with Chosen Becky, a project that ended up becoming a source of frustration rather than celebration.
Speaking to Flexx, the singer revealed the challenges that ultimately led her to give up on a track that had held great promise.
I will say that I gave up on that song. If I am to be honest, I gave up on that song very fast because at one point the other singer [Chosen Becky] wanted rights. It is not even wanting, but they had already taken it, uploaded it, and done distribution. Yet it was my song because I paid for everything.
The situation unfolded without any prior discussion, leaving Aroma blindsided.
We did not talk. It just happened. I woke up one morning to find that she had already copyrighted the song and disturbed it as her own. That is what happened.
Determined to find some resolution, Aroma reached out to the artiste’s manager in hopes of salvaging what she could.
Her attempt, however, only added to her frustration.
At the moment, she [Chosen Becky] seemed to have things that were stressing her, so I talked to the manager. When I spoke to the manager and explained what had happened, they got annoyed and gave up on the song, and in turn, I also lost interest in it because it had already caused me a great deal of stress.
What started as a promising collaboration ended up as a messy fallout, leaving Aroma disappointed and the song forgotten.
