Ayra Starr Reveals Her Dream Rap Collabs, And Jay-Z Made the List
Nigerian music star Ayra Starr is aiming high when it comes to her dream collaborations, and her picks are turning heads.
Speaking to Complex, the Grammy-nominated singer shared the rappers she hopes to work with, and the list is packed with big names from both sides of the Atlantic.
Topping her list is UK rap sensation Central Cee. Ayra believes a track with him would be a banger, and fans already agree it is a collaboration worth hoping for.
She also mentioned Brit Award-winning rapper Dave, known for working with Nigerian artistes like Burna Boy, Boj, and Oxlade, so his spot on her list does not come as a shock.
On the USA side, Ayra gave flowers to Young Thug, saying she grew up listening to him and still considers him a “G.”
But the real surprise came when she named none other than hip hop legend Jay-Z.
While some were caught off guard by the 22-year-old singer’s choice, others pointed out that she is signed to Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s label, so the connection is not totally random.
Ayra explained that the collaboration would mean a lot to her personally, saying it would make her inner child proud.
Another name she dropped was Ian, the young American rapper who blew up on TikTok with his hit, “Magic Johnson.”
Ayra called herself a big fan and made it clear she has got her eye on the new wave, too.
So far, Ayra has not done many rap features, but that could change soon.
With names like these on her radar, fans are watching closely to see which collaboration happens first.
