Bajjo Declares King Saha Uganda’s Most Sellable Artiste
Ugandan events promoter Andrew Mukasa, popularly known as Bajjo, has weighed in on the business of Ugandan music, naming King Saha as the most sellable artiste today.
Speaking at the Uncut Awards 2025, Bajjo went beyond praise and backed his claim with figures.
He explained that booking King Saha in Kampala, upcountry, or in bars comes with different price tags, each reflecting the singer’s ability to pull crowds and deliver value.
Right now, if you are booking King Saha in the capital, you give Shs 9m. If you are taking him to the village, you give Shs 12m. If you are booking him for a club, you give him between Shs 4m and Shs 5m.
With figures like those, the obvious question followed: can a promoter actually recover that money?
Bajjo’s answer was simple and confident, saying the “Mulirwana” star is bankable.
King Saha is the most selling artiste, honestly speaking. First of all, he is fun to watch, he is entertaining, he has a sweet voice, and he is appealing to women. You know music is at a low right now, but among all selling musicians who can pull crowds, King Saha is number one.
Beyond talent and stage presence, Bajjo pointed to what he believes is the real secret behind King Saha’s dominance, his female fanbase.
According to him, many Ugandan musicians struggle because their support comes mainly from male fans, something he says does not always translate into packed venues.
In music, if you capture the female fanbase, you are set. What disturbs most musicians is that they are supported more by men than women, and that never works out. King Saha, on the other hand, is supported more by women than men.
In Bajjo’s view, appealing to women guarantees crowds, and crowds guarantee money.
That combination, he believes, is what places King Saha at the very top when it comes to selling power in Uganda’s music industry.
