Banger Boi Explains Why He Rarely Works With Non Swangz Avenue Artistes
Ugandan music producer Banger Boi has dismissed claims that his contract with Swangz Avenue restricts him from working with artistes outside the label.
Speaking during a sit down on Deep Talk, Banger Boi clarified that he is free to collaborate with non Swangz artistes.
He explained that the only condition is that such projects must be recorded at Swangz studios.
The producer noted that this requirement has played a major role in limiting his work with artistes outside the label.
According to him, many musicians are hesitant to record at Swangz because they fear their music could be taken and handed over to Swangz Avenue artistes.
Banger Boi, however, described these concerns as unfounded.
He stressed that neither he nor the label operates in that manner, adding that Swangz Avenue maintains professional standards that respect artistes and protect their work.
The contract allows me to work with artistes as long as they come to Swangz. However, most musicians are afraid to record there. They feel insecure and believe their songs might be stolen and given to Swangz artistes, which is not the case.
