Barista Timo Breaks Silence After First-Round Knockout by Shakib

Social media personality Barista Timo has spoken out after suffering a first-round knockout at the hands of socialite and businessman Shakib Cham Lutaaya.

The two faced off in a highly anticipated celebrity boxing match on April 11, 2026, at the IUEA Auditorium in Kampala, where Shakib ended the fight early with a powerful knockout.

Speaking to Sanyuka Uncut, Timo admitted he struggled from the very start, revealing that tensions had already built up before the match even began.

He said a heavy blow early in the fight affected him and made it difficult to recover as the bout quickly slipped out of his control.

I tried my best to fight back against Shakib, but he was very strong and determined

Despite the loss, Timo maintained that stepping into the ring takes courage and deserves respect.

Away from the fight, he revealed that his wife stayed away from the event, explaining that she prefers to keep her life private.

My wife does not like being in the camera. I want my family to live a private life. She was not comfortable with me participating in boxing at first, but eventually she supported me and stood by me.

Timo also addressed a moment that left him upset, saying Shakib insulted him during the event.

At some point, Shakib insulted me and called me ‘Ssekadama.’ That really hurt me. I did not even know what that word meant until that day, but I later understood its negative meaning. I want to make it clear that I am not ‘Ssekadama.’ I am a respectable man with a legitimate business in Dubai.

He added that he chose not to take Shakib’s car after the match, saying it could have created unnecessary problems.

If I had taken his car, it would have brought me problems every day. I chose to stay away from that.
