Benjamin Ibanda: From Corporate Career to Artistic Excellence
Ugandan-born creative Benjamin Ibanda has proven that passion, when relentlessly pursued, can truly rewrite destiny.
A proud first-class graduate in Finance and Accounting from Uganda Christian University, Ibanda began his professional journey in the corporate world, serving in esteemed institutions including the Bank of Uganda.
But beneath the spreadsheets and financial statements beat the heart of an artiste.
Fueled by an unshakable love for art, Ibanda made a daring move to Dubai, determined to transform his creative gift into a global pursuit. That leap of faith has since paid off.
On October 19, he shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account:
Being the first Ugandan artist to paint live on a supercar in Dubai was a milestone. Doing it at the Dubai Design District, a hub of creativity, made it even more special as it was the first time a supercar was ever being drawn on there too.
Ibanda’s incredible journey has taken his art across the world, from Times Square to Formula One, and even to the skies, representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during Etihad Airways 20th Anniversary celebrations.
Benjamin Ibanda’s story stands as a bold testament to courage, creativity, and conviction, a powerful reminder to chase your dream fearlessly and protect it at all costs.
