Betina Namukasa Hails Reign’s Calm Reaction to NUP Snub
Ugandan singer Betina Namukasa has spoken out in support of her comic friend Reign Omusoyisoyi, who was recently denied the NUP Party ticket for the Rubaga South MP seat in the 2026 elections.
Despite the setback, Reign showed maturity by congratulating Eugenia Nassolo, who won the race.
Speaking to Daily Soup, Betina said she admires his attitude and, as such, thanked him for not taking the outcome with bitterness.
I just want to thank him for not getting annoyed. Other people, when they do not get cards, often get upset, but for him, it is different. He does not get annoyed, and he should not leave the party.
She also pointed out that Reign does not need conslation, adding that he accepted the party’s decision with dignity.
Someone who needs consoling is someone who has been hurt, but for him, that is not the case. Since then, he has said that whoever is chosen as the flag bearer, he will stand behind them because the objectives are the same.
The “Eliso” star ended by offering a message of encouragement to her friend, reminding him that there will be future opportunities.
Today he has not gotten the card, but he will get it next time. Let us wait for next time.
