Big Eye Shifts Focus to Politics, Targets 2026 Parliamentary Seat

Singer Ibrahim Mayanja, mostly known as Big Eye Starboss, has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind, and his recent Instagram post is no exception.

After seeing comments telling him to “leave politics and focus on music,” he decided it was time to set the record straight.

In his post, Big Eye made it clear that politics is something he cares about deeply.

He is not just involved for the sake of it but because, as a Ugandan, the future of the country is important to him.

The “Indicator” singer explained that the state of the nation impacts everyone, and as a citizen, he feels it’s his responsibility to stay engaged.

“I am deeply involved and committed to the politics of my country, and I will never step away from it,” Big Eye wrote, emphasizing his dedication to both politics and his music career.

He also shared that he is considering running for a parliamentary seat in the 2026-2031 term, encouraged by National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, also known as Bobi Wine.

Big Eye sees this as a way to play a more active role in shaping Uganda’s future.

“This will allow me to contribute more actively and practically to serving my country well,” he said.

While music is his career, Big Eye made it clear that his commitment to his country’s future is his top priority.

He reminded his followers that he is an adult, over 18 years old, and has the right to be involved in politics.

His final words, “if not us, then who?” show his belief that young people must be involved in politics to bring about change.
