Big Tril Speaks Out: “Nothing Needs Changing in the Industry”

While many Ugandan artistes complain about copyright issues, violence, and other challenges in the music scene, Big Tril is taking a different stance.

The “Parte After Parte” hitmaker insists the industry is fine just the way it is.

In an interview with Daily Soup, he said nothing about the industry annoys him and nothing needs to be changed.

Nothing. I found the industry here, and I will leave it here. I cannot speak for the entire industry. I have made my contribution and I am still making it. I will leave and someone else will come. The industry is not ours, not our father’s, nor anyone else’s. As artistes, we come, make our contributions, and then we leave. So how the industry is, is how it is.

Big Tril also dismissed claims that hip hop in Uganda is dying.

Pointing to Navio’s recent successful concert at Serena, he insisted the genre is still alive and booming.
