Billboard Names Tyla the Biggest U.S. Afrobeats Artiste of the Year

Tyla has stormed the charts, claiming the number one spot as Billboard’s biggest U.S. Afrobeats artiste of 2025.

The South African singer leads a competitive top five that includes Wizkid, Rema, Davido, and Burna Boy, proving her dominance in the genre.

The top ten also features American-Ghanaian singer Moliy and Nigeria’s Asake, Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, and BNXN, showing the global reach of Afrobeats.

Further down, stars like Fola, Tems, Olamide, Ayra Starr, and Omah Lay hold positions 11 to 15, while British-Nigerian acts Odeal, Young John, Odumodublvck, Kunmie, and Ayo Maff round out the chart.

Tyla’s win reflects her growing influence and proves that she is now one of Africa’s fastest-rising stars.
