Black Shuga Declares Herself a Better Singer Than Jowy Landa

If there is anything unlikely to stay quiet, it is Black Shuga’s music career.

With only one song out, the Ugandan media personality turned singer is already stirring debate in the industry.

Her debut track “Togwawo,” released on January 1 with partner Amos Lovinz, marked her official entry into music.

But beyond the release, it is her confidence that is drawing attention.

While appearing on Sanyuka Uncut, Black Shuga boldly claimed she can outperform many artistes who believe they can sing.

I can do better than musicians who think they can sing. Some say they are not being supported or wished well, but sometimes they are the problem because they have failed to do things the right way. They end up competing with themselves.

Black Shuga directly mentioned Jowy Landa, describing her as an artiste whose career is not progressing and questioning her vocal ability.

My voice is better than most artistes who do not know how to sing, Jowy Landa among them. I cannot even rank her. I can sing better and fill a full house.

With strong words and even stronger confidence, Black Shuga has made it clear she is ready to compete with established names in the industry.

Whether the industry embraces her or pushes back, she has already ensured her arrival will not go unnoticed.
