Britney Spears Sells Music Catalog for Undisclosed Amount
TMZ reports that Britney Spears has finalized a major deal involving her music catalog.
The outlet states that the pop star signed an agreement on December 30 to sell her ownership stake to music publisher Primary Wave.
Court documents reviewed by TMZ do not reveal the exact figure.
However, sources described the transaction as a landmark deal believed to be in the range of the $200 million agreement Justin Bieber secured when he sold his catalog.
The deal covers a long list of Britney’s signature hits, including “…Baby One More Time,” “Oops!… I Did It Again,” “Toxic,” “Gimme More,” “Circus,” and “Womanizer,” among others.
As of publication, neither Britney Spears nor Primary Wave has commented publicly on the deal.
