Bruce Melodie Sees Safer Days Ahead for Women in Music

The music industry has a reputation for being tough, and even tougher for female artistes.

While some parents would panic at the thought of their daughters taking that path, Bruce Melodie says he would not stand in his children’s way.

Speaking to Flexx, the Rwandan star said his own experience in the game gives him confidence that he could manage and guide them properly.

I have been there. I have experience and I feel I can become a proper manager.

He admitted he understands the concerns people have, particularly for female artistes.

Still, he believes the music industry is gradually becoming more organised and professional.

I know there is a lot going on in the industry, and I know why you are asking this question about female artistes. But bro, trust me, in a few years to come, this is going to be more professional than you see it right now. So I believe they can join the industry. No problem.

As a father of two daughters, Bruce Melodie is encouraged by the progress he sees in the industry.

And if his children choose music, he believes his experience will be their biggest shield.
