Bruno K Explains Why True Giving Is About Sacrifice, Not the Amount

Ugandan singer Bruno K, real name Bruno Kiggundu, has shared a spiritual message that is striking a chord with many.

During his latest episode of social commentary, the singer reflected on the true meaning of giving, at a time when both Ramadan and Lent are being observed.

According to him, giving is not about the amount, but the sacrifice behind it.

In the kingdom of God, giving is not measured only by how much is given, but how much we give of what we have.

To explain his point, he gave an example of someone with great wealth.

One man has one billion shillings. When an opportunity arises to support God’s work, he gives Five Hundred Thousand Shillings. It is a good gift, yet it represents a small portion of what he possesses.

Bruno K then compared this to someone with far less, but a greater level of sacrifice.

Another man has one million shillings. From that amount, he gives two hundred thousand shillings. Though smaller in absolute terms, his gift represents a much greater portion of his resources.

He said the difference between the two lies in the level of sacrifice behind each act of giving.

Both gifts have value, but the second reflects a deeper level of sacrifice.

In short, Bruno K says true giving is not about how much you give, but what it costs you.
