Bruno K Reveals What He Believes Is Fueling Addiction Among Men

Bruno K believes he has identified one of the reasons addiction is so common among men: Many are trying to do life alone.

The Ugandan singer and internet personality shared the thought on social media while speaking about men’s loneliness and the lack of meaningful friendships many men experience despite having plenty of online connections.

Most men are lonely. We have followers and no friends. We have group chats, but nobody we can call when life gets hard. We have drinking buddies but no brotherhood.

Bruno K says that loneliness does not stop at a lack of companionship. He believes it can also play a role in the struggles some men face with addiction.

I genuinely believe one of the reasons addiction is so prevalent among mainly men is because we are doing life alone.

For Bruno K, the problem goes deeper than simply having people around. He says many men try to improve their lives without asking others for support, whether they want to get sober, become more disciplined or build businesses.

We are trying to become disciplined by ourselves, get sober by ourselves, build businesses by ourselves. You were not designed to do life alone.

His bigger message is that men should not confuse asking for help with weakness.

Bruno K believes admitting that you do not have everything figured out can actually be a sign of strength.

The strongest thing you can do as a man is not pretending you have it all figured out. Its having the humility day in and day out to ask for help.
