Bruno K Reveals He Is Happier About Regaining Freedom Than the 130 Million Compensation

Singer Bruno K emerged victorious in a lengthy legal battle against Black Market Records, with the court awarding him UGX 130 million in compensation.

The case, which centered around copyright infringement and the withholding of royalties, dragged on for years before ultimately concluding in the singer’s favor.

Although many would expect the “One for the Road” singer to celebrate the financial payout, Bruno K emphasizes that the real victory lies in regaining control of his music.

In a recent media interview, he revealed that what excites him most is the freedom over his work, something he was denied for over three years.

During that period, the USA-based record label reportedly refused to release royalties and claimed ownership of his music, which prompted Bruno K to file a lawsuit on November 24, 2022.

With the court now stripping Black Market Records of all claims to his work and awarding him millions in damages, Bruno K says he finally feels free.

For him, reclaiming full ownership and control of his music is a win that holds much deeper significance.
