Bucha Man Says Mark Da Urban Is Talented But Not Serious

Dancehall veteran and former Firebase musician Bucha Man has weighed in on the career of Mark Da Urban, saying the singer has the talent but lacks the seriousness needed to reach the next level.

During an interview on Galaxy TV, the self styled Ghetto President said Ugandans once had enormous hope for the young dancehall performer.

But in his view, the momentum faded because the artiste did not fully commit to his craft.

Mark Da Urban is talented, but he is not serious. If he were serious, he would be much further by now, because Ugandans had given him more hope than they have ever given any other artiste.

Bucha Man said the public strongly backed Mark Da Urban when he first appeared on the music scene, raising expectations that he would become one of the genre’s next big stars.

Instead, other rising talents have stepped into the spotlight while the singer’s progress slowed.

The veteran musician also believes success in the industry requires a strong drive for fame and sacrifice.

He does not have the hunger for fame yet. I know him very well. Fame requires hunger and sacrifice because you can be a good artiste but not a star.
