Burna Boy Reveals He Settled Feud With AKA Before His Death

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has revealed that he and late South African rapper AKA settled their feud before his death.

The dispute began in 2019 during AFCON match banter online, at a time when xenophobia tensions were already high.

As tensions rose, AKA shared screenshots of hateful messages he said came from Nigerian accounts.

After that, it was reported that he encouraged xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa.

The issue soon escalated, with fans and entertainers on both sides trading words.

Burna Boy also threatened to “deal” with AKA if they ever met.

Looking back now, the Afrobeats star said they later made peace privately through direct messages.

He added that he regrets they never met again or made music together before AKA was killed in Durban in February 2023.

Meanwhile, legal proceedings related to the case are still ongoing.
