“Capt. Mukula is Not Doing My Job,” Kenzo Responds to Talk Surrounding Alien Skin and Pallaso Reconciliation Efforts

Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives, Eddy Kenzo, who also serves as the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), has addressed claims that Capt. Mike Mukula is taking over his responsibilities by mediating the reconciliation between musicians Alien Skin and Pallaso.

The two musicians, who have been at odds for a while, are now in the process of finding common ground thanks to Mukula’s intervention.

Many have raised questions as to why Kenzo, as the federation’s president, is not taking the lead in handling the situation.

In an interview with Sanyuka TV, Kenzo took the opportunity to explain his position and clarify his role in the ongoing matter.

“First and foremost, Hon. Mike Mukula is an elder and a leader whom we respect. For him to call Alien Skin and Pallaso for reconciliation sessions should not be news, in my view,” Kenzo remarked.

When asked whether Mukula is under or above the federation, Kenzo made it clear that Mukula holds a respected leadership position in the music sector.

“He is a leader. What do you mean by ‘under him’? He is the patron of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), which is entirely okay,” Kenzo explained.

Kenzo further made it clear that he did not neglect his role nor leave it to anyone else to handle. “You cannot say that he did my job,” he said.

“I have spoken to Alien Skin, and I have also talked to Pallaso. I am in close communication with leaders in the sector about the issue at hand. However, I am not a media person who will always announce what I am doing publicly,” he added.

Kenzo stressed that his job is entirely about doing what he is supposed to do, not about seeking media attention to discuss his actions.

He also revealed that he has been quietly working behind the scenes to resolve the matter.

“If you inquire, you will find out that I have spoken with the Prime Minister, who called the Inspector General of Police, and so on. That goes to show that I am working on the issue, but silently,” he stated.

Regarding keeping the public updated every step of the way, Kenzo mentioned that not everything needs to be aired for the public.

While acknowledging that the conflict between Alien Skin and Pallaso is of public interest because of their status as musicians, Kenzo emphasized that the results of the reconciliation efforts should speak for themselves, rather than him constantly appearing in the media to update the public.
