Carol Nantongo Shuts Down Claims She Is Older Than Hubby Dylan

Rumours of an age gap have followed Carol Nantongo ever since her relationship with Dylan Delan became public.

Some critics claim the singer is older than her husband, the son of veteran musician Mesach Semakula.

As the speculation continued to circulate online, Carol has now chosen to address it directly.

While appearing on Tawfiq Media, she tackled the matter head on, beginning with an explanation of why she no longer reveals her age.

If you watch my past interviews, you will realize I used to disclose my age. But every time I did, people accused me of lying and making myself younger. That is why I stopped.

She explained that the constant accusations made it pointless to keep clarifying herself.

Addressing the age gap rumours directly, she stressed that those spreading them have no factual basis.

She added that she and her husband know each other’s age, and that is all that truly matters.

I know the truth and D [Dylan] knows the truth. Those who claim that I am older and he is younger should remember they were not there when we were born. No one has my birth certificate. I know how old he is and he knows how old I am.

To shut down the narrative completely, Carol followed up with a firm declaration.

I do not date men I am older than.

Dylan proposed to Nantongo in November 2025, revealing that they had been together for eight years.

On December 10, 2025, he officially visited her parents in Namugongo, and the couple celebrated their marriage shortly after.
