Cassper Nyovest Questions Travis Scott Over Johannesburg Concert Numbers

South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has sparked conversation after Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus concert at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium reportedly sold 75,000 tickets.

Cassper took to Instagram after a workout to question the accuracy of the numbers, noting inconsistencies and comparing them to his own shows, including his 68,000-strong audience that was once celebrated as the biggest rap concert in Africa.

I am seeing the headlines about Travis Scott being the biggest solo concert in South Africa. Apparently, they sold 75K tickets. They said 60K, but now it is 75K. I also see the conversation around me having 68K people, and that actually being the biggest rap concert in Africa.

The Mama I Made It star reflected on how far South African artists have come, crediting God for putting local talent in global conversations.

I am just glad we could push the envelope to a point that we are in the conversation in our land. How crazy this is; how far we have come. I can only give the glory to God for that.

He reminded fans that his Fill Up Toyota Stadium show in Bloemfontein on December 6, 2025, is coming soon, showing that local acts can compete with international stars.

Your local champion, as you guys call me, because, clearly, the Americans are better than us, in your mind. We are out in Bloemfontein doing Fill Up Toyota Stadium. I am very excited about this.

Cassper, who has been focusing on fitness after body-shaming earlier this year, promised fans an unforgettable show and vowed to take it to the next level.
