Catherine Kusasira on Why She Chooses Not to Hold Concerts at Lugogo Cricket Oval

Singer Catherine Kusasira has dismissed any chances of ever holding a concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, saying the venue does not match her brand or audience.

While many artistes consider Lugogo Cricket Oval a major milestone in their careers, the singer revealed in a media interview that she deliberately avoids it because her fans prefer high-end venues.

Kusasira explained that Lugogo Cricket Oval attracts a crowd that pays 20,000 or 30,000 UGX for concerts, a price range she believes does not suit her audience.

According to her, her fans are willing to spend 100,000 or even 150,000 UGX for a show at more exclusive venues like Sheraton, where they feel safer and more comfortable.

She further pointed out security concerns, stating that her fans avoid places where they risk losing their phones and valuables.

For this reason, she sees no reason to organize a concert at a venue that does not align with their class and expectations.
