Ceaserous Explains Why Music Battles Are Bad for Uganda’s Industry

Recently, Uganda witnessed a musical showdown between two leading singers, Sheebah Karungi and Cindy Sanyu.

In the past, there was another notable clash between Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool.

While these battles entertain fans, singer Ceaserous believes they have both positive and negative effects.

He explained that, instead of fostering unity, such contests often create division among artists.

He added that the comparisons are usually unfair, since each artiste has a unique style and story.

Rather than encouraging collaboration, these battles tend to pit them against each other.

Ceaserous also noted that fans sometimes take these competitions too seriously and make them personal.

It is both good and bad. It has its downsides. Most of the time, the artistes they pit against each other form an abnormal comparison. The artistes are completely different, and their stories are different. Instead of encouraging them to collaborate, they end up being divided. Fans can also take these battles far too seriously and make them personal.
