Renowned musician Joseph Mayanja, famously known as Jose Chameleone, has announced a temporary halt to his musical performances due to health complications.
The artiste confirmed that he is undergoing treatment and will spend this festive season away from the stage, a first in his illustrious career.
In a statement, Chameleone expressed his disappointment at not being able to perform for his fans during the holidays, a time he traditionally dedicates to entertaining audiences.
“Unfortunately, my hospitalization has disrupted our annual tradition of celebrating together through music,” he said.
He extended his gratitude to his fans, promoters, and medical team for their support during this challenging time.
“I am deeply thankful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and well-wishes from my fans, friends, and family during my hospital stay. I also appreciate the exceptional care I received from Nakasero Hospital,” he added.
The singer also acknowledged his close friend, Juliet Zawedde, who accompanied him to the United States for further treatment, sacrificing her holiday plans to provide support.
Despite the setback, Chameleone assured his fans of his determination to recover fully and return to the stage.
“I will return stronger and better, God willing,” he said.
