Chaos at Miss Universe 2025 as Contestants Walk Out After Director Clash

What was meant to be a glamorous moment of celebration at the Miss Universe 2025 sashing ceremony quickly turned into chaos and controversy after several contestants reportedly walked out following a heated exchange with Thai pageant director Nawat Itsaragrisil.

Sources reveal that the altercation began when Nawat allegedly confronted Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, accusing her of being “uncooperative” and not promoting Thailand enough on social media.

Bosch later claimed that Nawat called her “dumb,” sparking outrage among fellow contestants who stood in solidarity and exited the venue in protest.

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) later released a statement distancing itself from the event, describing it as “unauthorized” and not part of the official Miss Universe schedule.

Adding fuel to the fire, Thai authorities have also launched an investigation into claims that the Miss Universe Thailand team was involved in promoting online casinos, which is strictly prohibited under Thai law.

Nawat has since denied any involvement, insisting that his organization, Miss Grand International (MGI), had no ties to the alleged promotion.

The unfolding drama has left pageant fans divided, with some defending Nawat’s tough management style, while others criticize his behavior as unprofessional and damaging to the Miss Universe brand.

This year’s Miss Universe pageant, hosted in Thailand, was intended to highlight cultural pride, empowerment, and elegance.

For now, all eyes are on how the organization will handle what many are calling one of the biggest controversies in pageant history.
