Choosing a Stage Name Is One of the Biggest Challenges for Upcoming Musicians, Says Topic Kasente

For many music fans, a stage name appears to be something you choose once and keep forever.

But according to singer Topic Kasente, choosing the right stage name is one of the biggest challenges upcoming artistes face.

During a chat with rapper Feffe Busi, Topic explained that most musicians go through a series of names before finally settling on the one they keep.

“Every musician has about three or four names they use and later drop before getting the final one,” he said.

He revealed that before settling on “Topic Kasente,” he used to call himself “The Cave.”

Feffe Busi shared a similar story, saying that he once went by the name “Gravity” before adopting the stage name he is known by today.
