Chris Evans Blames Music Federations and Associations for the Scarcity of Hit Songs
Uganda singer Christopher Evans, popularly known as Chris Evans, recently shared his thoughts on the challenges facing the Ugandan music industry, particularly the limited number of hit songs being produced.
He believes that music federations and associations contribute to this issue by hindering competition among artistes.
Evans stated that when there is friction within the industry, musicians are inspired to outdo their peers, which leads to the creation of quality music and hits.
The ‘Ndikusasula Ki’ hit maker suggested that the unity and togetherness fostered by these federations diminish the sense of competition, resulting in fewer standout songs.
While he acknowledged that there are musicians he competes against, he described them as lacking strength.
Evans dismissed any claims of competition with songstress Princess Amiirah.
He clarified that he does not view her as a competitor, believing that it would not be a fair matchup for her.
He also addressed her claims that he pursued her romantically, explaining that she made those statements in an effort to promote her new song and attract attention.
