Cindy Reveals Why She Does Not Hold Concerts Annually
While some Ugandan musicians hold concerts every year, Cindy has taken a different path, focusing on quality over quantity.
Speaking to Sanyuka Uncut, the self-styled King Herself explained that she believes an artiste should only perform when there is fresh material to share with fans.
I believe that an artiste should grace the stage when they have something new. And when I say something new, I mean music, not other things. So I believe that an artiste should hold a show when they have new music, and that is enough. We cannot come to a show and only listen to two songs There is no point.
Cindy also shed light on why she takes long breaks between her shows.
Rather than rushing into concerts, she prefers to ensure her fans have plenty of new music to enjoy, making each show a new experience.
I always first want to have an album, with like seven new songs, so that when people come to my show they have something new to hear and see. That is what I always want, and I always wait until I have enough new songs for a show. That is why I take my time.
Cindy made these remarks ahead of her Royal Experience Concert at Millennium Grounds on August 29.
