Cindy Sanyu Breaks Down Her Favorite Artistes of the Year

Ugandan dancehall star Cindy Sanyu has revealed her top musicians of 2025 and explained what makes them stand out.

In a conversation with Tawfiq Media, the self-styled King Herself singled out Swangz Avenue’s Vinka as her standout female artiste of the year.

She praised Vinka not only for her music but also for her remarkable growth as a performer.

This year, Vinka has stood out for me. It is not just about the music because her music is always really good. Music from Swangz Avenue is always really good. But her performances now, compared to when she was just starting out, are simply amazing. I love seeing how she performs and coordinates with the dancers. She has taken her game to a whole other level. I am so happy for Vinka.

Cindy also named Elijah Kitaka, another Swangz Avenue artiste, as her top male performer of the year.

She highlighted his consistency throughout 2025 as the key factor in her choice.

On the male side this year, it is Elijah Kitaka. He has been constant this year. He has been steady from when the year started up to now. As an artiste, I do not look at hits, I focus on the musician. There might be someone who has a bigger hit than Elijah, but for me it is about how one has performed and if they have been stable. That stability is what I base my judgment on. That is why this year Swangz Avenue has really performed
